On 19 April, from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, we had the opportunity to watch two implantations and an explantation of PediatrOS™ FlexTack™ paediatric growth steering staples at Munster University Hospital under the leadership of Prof. Dr. med. Robert Rödl (Medical Director, Paediatric Orthopaedics, Deformity Reconstruction and Foot Surgery) and his Senior Medical Consultant, Dr. med. Björn Vogt (Specialist in Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery; Additional Certifications in Paediatric Orthopaedics, Manual/Chiropractic Medicine).
Between surgeries, Professor Rödl and Dr. Vogt answered all of the Danish doctors’ questions thoroughly, and also provided additional case studies to illustrate areas of application for the PediatrOS™ FlexTack™ and RigidTack™ epiphysiodesis staples.
Prof. Rödl, who developed the staples, gave a detailed presentation that was very well received, and made for interesting discussion material with our Danish guests.
