Spacer® G

Hip spacer

The Spacer® G Hip Spacer is an interim femoral prosthesis by Tecres; it is implanted temporarily as part of two-stage revision procedures performed due to infection. It is enriched with Gentamicin and features a reinforced core made of implant steel (AISI 316L). Bone cement can be used to anchor the prosthesis in the collar area to protect the implant against rotational instability.

  • Antibiotics: Gentamicin
  • Design: Round stem design
  • Head: Ø 46 mm, Ø 54 mm, Ø 60 mm
  • Short stem available in lengths: 94 mm – 98 mm
  • Long stem available in lengths: 209 mm – 211 mm

Indications

  • Designed for temporary use (max. 180 days) as part of two-stage revisions of total hip endoprostheses following periprosthetic infections
  • To be used in combination with systemic antibiotic therapy
