The Spacer® S Shoulder Spacer is an interim glenohumeral prosthesis by Tecres; it is implanted temporarily as part of two-stage revision procedures performed due to infection. It is enriched with Gentamicin and features a reinforced core made of implant steel (AISI 316L). Bone cement can be used to anchor the prosthesis in the collar area to protect the implant against rotational instability.
Designed for temporary use (max. 180 days) as part of two-stage revisions of total or hemi-shoulder endoprostheses following periprosthetic infections
To be used in combination with systemic antibiotic therapy
