The VancoGenx® SPACE Hip Flat Stem is an interim femoral prosthesis by Tecres; it is implanted temporarily as part of two-stage revision procedures performed due to infection. It is made of Gentamicin- and Vancomycin-enriched bone cement with a reinforced core of implant steel (AISI 316L), and features a flat design. This spacer type is known for providing a good fit in narrow femurs, preserving the greater trochanter and inhibiting rotation thanks to its rectangular cross-section.
Designed for temporary use (max. 180 days) as part of two-stage revisions of total hip endoprostheses following periprosthetic infections
