WM-Cup™

Conical screw-in cup for non-cemented restorations

The WM Cup™ Hip Prosthesis System is a non-cemented screw cup system to be implanted in the acetabulum. The cup has a conical outer contour with a flattened pole cap and features a conical right-hand thread. When the cup is implanted, the cutting teeth create a female thread in the surrounding bone tissue and thus ensure a secure implant fit. A polar threaded bore provides access to the natural acetabulum, thus allowing the surgeon to check whether the cup has been screwed in to the correct depth. The corresponding screw plug is used to close the polar hole before inserting the final inlay. The outer surface is blasted grey to promote osseointegration.
